Fall 2013 Brown Bag Lunch Series: October

The second brown bag lunch* for the 2013-2014 academic year will be held on October 2nd at 12:15pm in room 536L (Sanchez building). The guest speaking for the lunch is Dr. Per Urlaub, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Germanic Studies in the College of Liberal Arts.

Dr. Urlaub is on the FLE Graduate Studies Committee. His research interests include Second Language Studies, Language and Culture, Curriculum Development, and Reading Research. He will be offering a Second Language Reading course in the spring of 2014; no knowledge of German is necessary to take this course. The title of Dr. Urlaub's presentation is "From Comprehension to Understanding: Reading in the Second Language."
